- [Instructor] We all know vector art is clean, flat, and hard-edged. So in this movie, I'll show you how you can add a nice graininess to your vector artwork or design and give it an organic flare and intriguing detail. So let's get started. So we're back in the owl artwork you saw previously and I showed you how to use patterns. Those are all great, but I want to show you how you can use an aesthetic that adds graininess to vector art and it's a lot of fun. So let's get started. The first thing we're going to do is I'm going to select the background here and I'm going to clone it, Command + Z, Command + F, just to make a copy of it. I'm going to colorize it a lighter hue, this kind of teal. So all I've done is I've made a copy. I'm going to turn on our layer because we are going to use opacity mass again.
