- [Instructor] A lot of people are intimidated by 3D, but the 3D functionality in Adobe Illustrator is pretty easy to use. So let's see how we can combine that feature with other tools and features like shape blends to pull off unique creative results. So let's jump right into it. We're first going to use the pencil tool and I want to show you the settings, so let me double click on that. You want to make sure you have Smooth on, you want to make sure you have Fill new pencil strokes and Keep selected. You also want to make sure to have Close paths when ends are within 15 pixels, you could increase this if you wanted to, and Edit selected paths, you want to have it at 12. With all those set, we're going to click Okay, we're going to jump to the pencil tool, and I don't want an outline, we're going to use the color light blue here, and we're just going to draw kind of nebulous shapes, and then we're going to project them in 3D using the features in Adobe Illustrator.
