Discover the editor
- [Instructor] Welcome back to this new video where we're going to dive in and to understand how to use the project interface, also called the editor. So let's take a closer look at the key components of the editor interface. One of the things to notice is that when we start any project, the top bar and the toolbar on the left will both change. Instead of the search bar at the top, we now have the editable file name that will also show a little cloud to indicate you the states of update of your file. And on the right side we have the undo and redo buttons alongside invite, tips, comments, feedback, download button, and the share button. And of course, you can always access your account settings from the top bar; below the file name on the left, you have access to the option bar filled with many tools such as resize, theme, animation, background color, margins, align, bulk create, and translate. Now bear in mind these options will change because as mentioned on top of the course, Adobe Express gets updated as we go. We all have access to the feedback button, and our feedback is taken in great consideration by the Adobe engineers that work on Adobe Express. So please, if you find a different option than the one that I mentioned, is simply because the website has been updated to make it easier for you to work with Adobe Express. The search bar is now located on the left above our stuff folder when we can still dive in and access our previous files, libraries, and more. Below you'll find brand. This is a fantastic place to access all your brands, logos, color palettes, templates, fonts, and much more. And then of course, templates and the media library. I love the media library because this is the place where you can dive in inside Adobe Stock directly within Express with a curated collection of photos, videos, and even audios. Then underneath you can find the text tool, where you can access all the settings to transform your project text and do really anything you want with text. Then we have elements which you can browse and access with things such shapes, background, and many graphics and illustrations to really create anything that you can imagine. And then below elements we find charts and grids. They will give you access to a lot of different charts and graphs, and most importantly, grids to create a layout. After charts and grids, you find addons. Addons is the place where you can discover the exciting third party complimentary tools and services. And at the very bottom, you can explore the premium member status and all the different options. In the middle of the editor, you will find the project area. This is the central area where you'll create and edit your designs. Here is where you place and manipulate elements such as text, images, shapes, and graphics. The area of your artwork will depend on the size that you have decided to use for your project. Once we're creating a graphic project, getting better understanding of how to navigate the platform and access its various tools and features will become a key for you to create anything you want. So stay tuned for next video where we'll dive deeper into the exciting features of Adobe Express. I will see you there.
