Rule of thirds is a very commonly used technique in visual arts so before it was started to be used in graphic design it was already applied for a long time in painting, photography and even cinematography. It is a very simple rule that's easy to understand and also easy to apply to any of your projects and there's only a few things I would like to discuss about it in this video besides again showing some creative examples where rule of thirds is used to align the focal points in designs because that is the best and most common way of using rule of thirds. But first of all let's just understand how it works. So essentially what you need to do is to divide up your frame into three equal sections both vertically and horizontally and these horizontal and vertical division lines will result in four intersection points and according to the rule of thirds these are the positions where it is most effective to place a focal point.
