Effects and object styles

InDesign is not as popular for applying effects as like Photoshop or Illustrator but it still has a couple of basic effects that we would call layer styles in Photoshop for instance. So you can find these from the appearance section in the properties panel under the effects icon and we can start with probably the most common one Drop Shadow. Now once you have the dialog box open just make sure you turn on the preview and that's going to show you a live feedback of what you are doing here so we can change the angle of the shadow for instance we can increase the distance if we wanted to we can also increase the size of the shadow and we can also of course change all the other settings that you can find here. I'm just going to keep this maybe to around five millimeters in size and maybe I will set it a little bit closer as well so five millimeters distance away and just so we can see how multiple effects are applied we can also add bevel and emboss which creates this 3d effect on the…
