Managing Timeline layers
- [Narrator] Animate has a long history as an animation platform for television, UI, video games, the web, and more. We must become familiar with the timeline in Animate, to work effectively within the program and produce the results we desire. So looking at our timeline here, you can always make the timeline larger to accommodate more layers. Right now we have our yellow temple there. And if we shift this over, we can see that full text. And we have our original layer, which is named layer one. We can create new layers by clicking on the new layer button, and we can rename layers by double clicking on the layer name, and typing in a new layer name. Now by mistake, I just put a space in there and it lets us know that special characters like spaces are not permitted in layer names. So, Animate's going to go ahead and remove that space for us so we can say, "Okay, thank you Animate, "don't show that again, and okay." Here we go. Layers can also be grouped in folders.
