ERG budgets
So, now let's talk about ERG budgets. As I've studied ERGs, I've been tracking what sort of budget amounts organizations have been allocating to Employee Resource Groups. And what we're seeing right now is today, the average annual budget given to Employee Resource Groups is about $90 per member. Now, that's not always how they allocate it, but that's a data point that we can use that allows us to measure the ERG budgets at small organizations as well as large organizations. So, what does that mean? So, for example, if your Employee Resource Group has 100 members on average, an ERG of that size has an annual budget of $9,000. If your ERG has 200 members, well, an average an ERG of that size has an annual budget of 18,000, right? So, we have to remember that this is average. So, that means half organizations give more than that amount to their ERGs. One half of organizations give less than that. So, it's just a data point that allows you to kind of get a sense of what sort of a budget your ERG can expect to receive and for organizations, it gives you some insights as to how much are you allocating to your ERGs and if you might have to increase that budget.
