- [Instructor] All of the tools that we'll be using in Access are organized into the same interface that's used throughout the Office suite, which Microsoft calls the ribbon. By default, there are five main ribbons, plus the File tab, which takes you to some additional options. When you start working with various objects, you'll see additional tabs that will dynamically appear over here on the right, depending on the context of what you're working on. So let's take a look at each of these tabs and get a peek at their organization, starting with the File tab on the far left. When you click on it, it reveals a screen called the backstage view. This is where you'll go to open up an existing database file or create a new database. You can get to the information about the current database file that you're working with, or come all the way down to the very bottom and access the options for either the current database or some general options for the Access application itself.
