- One of the most important things you can do as you dive in to job search is to define the actual job you're trying to land. Oh, I heard that. That was a bunch of you going, "but what if I want to keep my options open?" or, "what if I'm interested in a lot of different things?" And I totally get it. But the problem with this mindset is that it's a lot harder to create an impactful resume, LinkedIn profile or game plan if you're focusing on a bunch of different things all at once. It's also going to be a lot harder to figure out how to allocate those precious windows of time that you have to focus on this.
