- Before we jump into the world of bug hunting and security testing, let's quickly cover a few prerequisites to ensure you're ready to make the most of this course. This course is designed for security researchers and security practitioners who want to participate in bug bounty or who are actively involved in it. It is best suited for both beginners and intermediate levels. If you're an experienced security researcher, you can find some value and gain new perspectives on penetration testing approaches and skills. A basic understanding of web security and some essential technical skills are required. We'll cover the details on essential security and technical skills in the following videos. While not required, having some experience with penetration testing or threat modeling can give you an edge as you work through more advanced topics.
