LTE RRC states: Idle vs. connected

LTE RRC states: Idle vs. connected

Let's understand 4G RRC stakes in more detail, but before that, let's understand two different more terminologies, which are the mobility management and the connection management. Now what it signifies, the mobility management actually tells that does the core network, in the core network, the main entity which is taking care of control part is MME, mobility management entity. Now, does this MME holds a valid location and the routing information for the user? If yes, then it will be considered as an EMM registered. So mobility management is there and the user is registered for that particular purpose. And if not, if MME doesn't hold any valid location, in that case, it will be considered as key registered. Similar to that, we have a connection management. If there is a proper NAS singling connectivity between the MME and the UE, in that case, we'll consider it as a connection management.
