Saving a maxstart.max template scene

- [Instructor] To ensure consistency in variables such as the viewport background, the size and spacing of the grid, and the unit setup, you can create a template scene that will load every time 3ds Max is started or reset. So I haven't done that yet. I'll just show you what happens if I reset Max. We go to the File menu and choose Reset. This is the same as closing Max and reopening it. It's just going to flush everything out of memory and restore whatever defaults are stored in my user preferences. File, Reset. Do you really want to reset? Yes. Okay, I get a full screen perspective view. I get a gradient, and I get the grid colors that I set up previously. Let's check in on units. I can go to Customize, Unit Setup. And it's set to generic units. And then we can look at the grid as well, right-click on any one of the magnet icons and go to home grid. And we'll see the grid spacing is 10 generic units.
