Importing Illustrator paths to 3ds Max
- [Instructor] Max is an all purpose 3D program that can do almost anything including motion graphics. A common situation in motion graphics is you've got some logo or graphic design that you want to bring into 3D and maybe animate it. And the common application for that is Adobe Illustrator. I'm going to show you how to import an Adobe Illustrator document and how to prepare it for the next step, which is to turn it into a 3D beveled object. Okay, so we'll go into the file menu and choose import, import. Remember that merge is for .MAX scenes and import is for non-native or foreign file formats. Click on import and you should be taken to your current projects import folder. And I can investigate that here by going to this look in pull down. This tells me that the currently displayed directory is located in desktop, exercise, files, import. And I prepared a file here for you.
