- [Instructor] Let's go a little deeper into selection options. Up on the main toolbar we have the select object tool that you're familiar with. By default it has a selection region type of rectangle. Meaning that we draw a rectangle to select objects. But there are different selection region types. This button is a fly-out, we can press and hold that button and choose a different selection region type, such as a circle, and then we can draw a circle to select objects. Or we can use a lasso method draw our lasso and select objects. We can cycle through those different selection region types with the keyboard shortcut Q. Q activates the select object tool and it also cycles through these different selection regions. I can press that button and go back to the rectangular selection region. Selections work differently in wire frame and shaded windows. In a wire frame view, the selection tools work on wires. To select…
