- [Instructor] Seven Excel tips for the price of one. Tip number one, to open the Format dialog, just hit Control + 1. Tip number two, using Proper to convert names. So I'm going to type =Proper here, open parentheses, select all lowercase michael scott, close parentheses, hit Enter. And it properly capitalizes his name. Click and drag down. Tip number three, move a sheet to a new workbook. So I'm down here, I'm going to right click on the sheet, choose Move or Copy, drop this down to new book, which is my new spreadsheet. We'll see Create a copy, hit OK. Now I'm in my new spreadsheet, and you can see there is that inventory list. Tip number four is the absolute reference shortcut. So I can highlight a cell and just click F4, and it adds the dollar sign. Select multiples, hit F4, and look at all those dollar signs. Tip number five, remove duplicates.
