About Our Role
Carinity Education Gladstone is seeking passionate Youth Workers – Student Wellbeing to join our dedicated team. You will play a vital role in supporting students’ social and emotional wellbeing so they can thrive in their education in collaboration with classroom teachers.
Your Day-to-day Will Involve
Build positive, supportive relationships with students, acting as a role model and mentor behaviour support, following therapeutic frameworks
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to remove barriers to learning
Engage in student wellbeing activities, lunchtime groups, excursions, and community participation
Assist with administrative tasks, case notes, and reporting requirements
Drive the school bus (LR licence required or willingness to obtain)
About You
You’re a motivated and caring professional who thrives in a supportive team environment and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. You are adaptable, empathetic, and bring a calm and positive presence that helps students feel safe, respected, and supported.
In addition,
Certificate IV in Youth Work, Teacher Aide, Education Support, or similar
Experience supporting marginalised young people in education or wellbeing roles
Ability to build rapport with youth and support pain-based behaviours
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families
Current Blue Card, driver’s licence (LR), Senior First Aid Certificate
