A payments platform for modern commerce: global money movement, instant settlement, and automatic reconciliation in one place. The market is large and underdeveloped, and the company is moving fast.

You'll own product vision and execution for the company. You'll lead a team of PMs but won't be managing from altitude - your judgment will be earned from proximity to the product and to customers, not from a dashboard. This isn't a role where you review mocks at the end of the week. You'll be prototyping, pressure-testing, and iterating alongside design and engineering. You'll also have a seat at the table on decisions that extend beyond product: go-to-market, hiring, company strategy. You care about the company winning, not just your function winning.

Responsibilities

• Set product direction. Own the product vision alongside the CEO and translate company strategy into a sequenced, opinionated roadmap. Know which bets to go deep on and which to cut.
• Lead and grow the PM team. Build a product function with high agency and a culture of shipping. Develop strong product thinkers and make the people around you better at their jobs.
• Build for operators. Develop a deep understanding of how finance teams, platform builders, and marketplace operators think about money movement, failure rates, and reconciliation. Design for the workflow they need before they can articulate it.
• Get in the weeds. Prototypes, specs, flow sketches - you're not above any of it. AI is changing what it means to be hands-on, and you're already working that way.
• Set the tempo. Define what fast looks like for the product org: how decisions get made, how work moves, how the team stays focused on what compounds. Remove friction. Raise the clock speed.

Requirements

• Proven track record shipping 0-to-1 products with real customer impact at a high-growth startup
• Experience leading a product team through the ambiguity of early-stage and the intensity of scale
• Genuine fluency in payments - rails, reconciliation, settlement, and why they're hard
• Hands-on builder: comfortable prototyping, writing specs, and sketching flows yourself
• Sharp communicator who can align a room, make hard calls, and bring people along
• High standards for craft - in payments, trust is the product, and you hold the team to that
