This role sits within the E-Commerce team and will partner closely with the Head of E-Commerce, Product Manager, Developers, Growth, and Brand Design to deliver beautiful, user-centered experiences that drive business results.

This is a hands-on lead role responsible for designing and refining key site experiences, supporting product launches and campaigns, and creating cohesive digital experiences through thoughtful design and iteration.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who uses user behavior insights and design thinking to craft intuitive, engaging experiences that resonate with customers.

Core Responsibilities
  • Own UX/UI design across the e-commerce site, including PDPs, homepage, landing pages, and collection pages.
  • Design and support product launches, SKU expansions, and promotional periods such as BFCM, New Year, and site-wide campaigns.
  • Create and iterate on design solutions in partnership with Growth and Product teams to enhance user experience and site performance.
  • Use behavioral insights from tools like Microsoft Clarity to identify user pain points and inform thoughtful design decisions.
  • Design and execute site assets including homepage banners, promotional modules, pop-ups, and on-site messaging.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to deliver high-quality, feasible designs and ensure accurate implementation.
  • Partner with the Brand Design team to maintain visual consistency and translate brand identity into exceptional digital experiences.
  • Build and evolve Arrae's web design system, creating scalable components and guidelines for consistency.
  • Identify opportunities for ongoing site enhancement and proactively propose UX improvements.
  • Support QA to ensure designs are executed accurately and consistently across devices.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience in UX/UI design within e-commerce or digital product environments (DTC preferred).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design work (PDPs, landing pages, site experiences, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Hands-on experience designing for Shopify.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, user behavior, and interaction design.
  • Experience using research and insights to inform design decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience with heatmapping and behavior analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Clarity).
  • Familiarity with experimentation and testing methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or Liquid.
  • Experience working closely with developers on implementation and QA.
  • Experience contributing to or building design systems.

Who You Are
  • A self-starter who thrives in a high-ownership, fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong UX and visual design sensibility.
  • Data-driven and comfortable using insights to guide decisions.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, always looking for ways to improve the site experience.
  • Collaborative and communicative across cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptable and calm during high-impact campaign periods.
  • Excited to own and shape the UX/UI function within a growing e-commerce team.
