Provide expert consultation within the Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) industry, with a focus on trucking and transportation safety
Advise on federal and state regulatory compliance and applicable industry standards
Evaluate and advise on transportation safety policies, procedures, and best practices
Conduct CMV accident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations
Serve as a subject matter expert for regulatory, operational, and safety-related transportation issues
Provide technical findings and conclusions in laymen's terms, both verbally and in writing
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, review professional publications, establish personal networks and participate in professional societies
Regular and predictable physical presence in the office

Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
Education and training specifically in transportation safety
Minimum of 10 years of post-academic experience in a safety role
Certified Director of Fleet Safety (CFS) strongly preferred
Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing
Public speaking experience a plus
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to carry equipment to and from job sites
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to drive in all conditions
Ability to fly on airplanes
Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
Ability to visually inspect job sites and relevant artifacts
Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required by the work site
Ability to learn a new industry and obtain required certifications
