RideController is a technology company specializing in advanced vehicle control and display solutions for construction, marine, automotive, and specialty applications. We develop customizable hardware and software systems that integrate lighting, audio, and other auxiliary functions into a single intuitive interface. RideController products are designed for durability in harsh environments, offering robust wireless connectivity, touch and physical controls, and integration with modern infotainment displays. Our solutions are popular among specialty vehicles, construction equipment, boat manufacturers, custom vehicle builders, and powersports seeking professional-grade control systems with a clean, user-friendly experience.
At RideController you will be exposed to the cutting edge of vehicles, boats, and machines as we design-build the foundation of what controls them. We are currently searching for a full-time Senior Electrical Design Engineer to design the hardware that runs the backbone of our control platform. These devices will then communicate to an HMI-touchscreen and or mobile application. This role would be located at our new headquarters in Mission, Kansas (currently located near Boulevard Beer but moving soon). RideController is ideal for someone who doesn’t want to be in a corporate machine but rather wants a big opportunity to build a company and be rewarded for that growth.
If you're tired of corporate bureaucracy—being siloed into a narrow slice of product design, navigating endless politics, or working in environments that lack true commitment to design excellence—and instead crave real ownership, broad impact, and growth in a dynamic setting where your work directly shapes industry-leading innovations, this is your opportunity. We're experiencing strong year-over-year growth and need a talented Electrical Design Engineer to help us scale the backbone of our control platforms: devices that integrate seamlessly with HMIs, touchscreens, and mobile apps.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing complex schematic design, PCB layout, troubleshooting and debugging, using established design standards and procedures. In addition to working with various equipment (multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes and more), you will provide technical leadership and project planning for complex analog, digital and/or RF designs

- Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals.
- Experience designing boards with SOCs/ASICs with knowledge of EMI, signal integrity, and power
- Experience in PCBA design, schematic capture and layout
- Solid background in power electronics and embedded control systems
- Expertise in standard interfaces (USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, BLE, etc)
- Experience with Altium or similar PCBA design tool required.
- Track record of designs that have been successfully launched and in the market space.
- High attention to detail when it comes to BOM management and cost effective solutions.
- Must be well organized and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
- Some travel may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer and or Technical Project Lead.
- Select and design circuit topology, and components.
- Design and manage PCBA BOMs
- Ability to work with mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to build the best solution.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to develop mass production processes
- Work along side CM’s to develop test platforms, and processes to manufacture designed PCBAs.
- Will follow Agile and or Waterfall development processes depending on project.
- High attention to detail, and sound problem solving techniques.
- Self-directed and highly motivated to get the job done using the best methods available.
- Develop and take ownership of complex features, and projects.
