Job Description:
Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Scheduler to join our team, supporting the Integrated Healthcare Transformation (IHT) initiative at the Department of Veterans Affairs. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in the oversight of complex project management tasks for infrastructure design and construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Job Description:
Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Scheduler to join our team, supporting the Integrated Healthcare Transformation (IHT) initiative at the Department of Veterans Affairs. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in the oversight of complex project management tasks for infrastructure design and construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Managing Information Technology Infrastructure and/or Physical Infrastructure related projects.
- Leveraging life-cycle and project management methodologies to tracking and reporting capital project scope, schedule, cost parameters.
- Identify, track, mitigate and communicate risks and issues to support successful project delivery.
- Measure program success, outcomes, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Support the management of projects and programs to enhance productivity and performance.
- Develop and contribute to program reports, briefings, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with VHA leadership and cross-functional teams to align program goals with Veteran healthcare needs.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in project management, engineering, information technology, construction management, or related fields.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience, including at least 5 years of experience managing schedules for projects/programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing reports and engaging stakeholders.
- Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Web App, MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Experience supporting federal healthcare initiatives, especially within the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.
