The Recycle Technician supports the physical execution of daily recycling and waste reduction tasks. This includes sorting, staging, baling, and transporting recyclable materials, assisting with the OAM process, and working alongside the ESG Supervisor to uphold site-wide sustainability efforts. This role is essential in maintaining clean enclosures, maximizing material recovery, and ensuring full site coverage.
Position Details
Schedule: Flexibility Required. Based on Business Needs
Days: Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6:30pm
Pay: $20-$22/Hourly, based on experience
Material Handling & Execution
• Sort and stage recyclable materials at designated collection points • Operate and maintain balers, compactors, pallet jacks, and dollies • Support outbound asset material (OAM) movements and documentation
Contamination Prevention
• Assist with contamination monitoring and educate staff at generation points • Clean and maintain waste enclosures and dock areas as part of routine operations
Program Support
• Work in tandem with ESG Supervisor to ensure waste reduction goals are met • Participate in training efforts and help model sustainable best practices
Equipment & Safety
• Follow all safety guidelines for PPE, lifting, and use of heavy-duty tools • Report equipment needs or maintenance concerns promptly
Qualifications:
• 1+ year experience in facilities, janitorial, warehouse, or waste/recycling operations preferred • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, operate recycling tools and equipment, and work in a fast-paced industrial environment • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
