We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to play a critical role in advancing our manufacturing operations through process optimization, automation, and capital project leadership. This position is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys driving meaningful improvements in safety, efficiency, and reliability.
In this role, you will lead key initiatives that directly impact production performance and long-term operational success. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams and have the opportunity to influence both day-to-day operations and future-state capabilities.
What You’ll Do
Process Improvement & Optimization
Lead process design, scale-up, and continuous improvement initiatives
Optimize production for yield, throughput, quality, and cost efficiency
Troubleshoot complex process and equipment challenges
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Capital Projects
Lead capital projects from concept through commissioning
Develop equipment specifications and support vendor selection
Oversee installation, startup, and validation activities
Manage contractors and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
Financial & Strategic Impact
Develop capital justifications including ROI and payback analysis
Manage CAPEX budgets and track project performance
Provide clear reporting and ensure responsible investment decisions
Leadership & Collaboration
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and IT teams
Mentor junior engineers and technical staff
Drive continuous improvement across processes and systems
What You Bring
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment
Proven experience leading capital projects
Hands-on experience with PLCs, automation, and process control systems
Technical Strengths
Strong understanding of process control and instrumentation
Experience with industrial automation, SCADA, and HMI systems
Familiarity with industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus)
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Nice to Have
Experience in specialty chemicals, polymers, or batch processing
Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., D365)
Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification
PE license
