Process Engineer
The Process Engineer will work with management to identify new process improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, cost, performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance. The Process Engineer will evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance.
- Develop process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and productivity.
- Facilitate the deployment of new and changed processes to provide improved results.
- Develop standard procedures and policies to be followed by the operation team
- Train and guide resources as needed.
- Work with various teams to reduce process and business variations.
- Assist Managers in management for capital projects.
- Prepare project presentations for management when needed.
- Review and update business procedures and documents based on project requirements
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to the processing to promote improvements
- Familiar with the implementation/utilization of DMAIC, TPM, Kaizen and other tools to facilitate the engagement of department members for sustainability
- Person must be dynamic and flexible enough to adapt to fast pace commercialization needs of projects under his/her responsibility
Requirements:
- BS / BA degree in related field or certification
- Six Sigma, Lean, Black, Yellow, and Green Belt Certified
- Minimum 5 years working in multiple manufactory
- 5+ years of experience in the food industry in either product or process development roles
- Proven experience and ability to communicate and relate to business partners and another cross-functional team is required
- Engage and assist with the assessment, development, implementation and monitoring of the cost saving initiatives
- Experience in product formulation, process optimization, scale up from bench to pilot plant to plant production, cost savings, shelf life and quality improvements.
- Produce experience a must
- Team oriented and ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and have excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Work with Project Management and Special Projects as assigned
