Private Equity Associate

Blacklock are partnered with a leading private equity firm seeking an Associate to join its Generalist investment team in Houston.

The firm has an established track record of delivering consistent performance and is recognized for its disciplined underwriting and focus on downside protection. The firm invests directly off its balance sheet, allowing for a long-term, partnership-oriented approach without traditional fund lifecycle constraints.

The team operates in a high-performance, collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on analytical rigorous and commercial thinking. Associates are given early responsibility and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully across live transactions and investment decisions.

Requirements

• 2–4 years’ experience in Investment Banking or Private Equity
• Build and maintain complex financial models (LBO, operating models, M&A analysis)
• Strong commercial judgment and attention to detail
• Interest in lower middle market investing
