Position Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support complex print and publishing initiatives.
- This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity requiring a 5 days a week, fully onsite presence at our location in Roswell, GA.
- The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced environment, balancing seamless client communication, production coordination, and strict schedule oversight.
- In this role, you will partner closely with creative, prepress, and production teams to keep projects moving efficiently while maintaining quality, budget alignment, and exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Client & Team Liaison: Serve as the main daily contact for clients, providing clear updates and coordinating seamlessly with internal creative and production partners.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee project execution from kickoff through completion, including timelines, cost estimates, job details, and billing coordination.
- Resource Optimization: Organize the right cross-functional teams and resources to deliver campaigns successfully and meet established objectives.
- Data & Workflow Tracking: Maintain accurate project records by entering, updating, and monitoring a high volume of job information within tracking and management systems.
- Multi-Project Prioritization: Manage numerous projects at different stages simultaneously, ensuring priorities are aligned with deadlines and customer expectations.
- Quality Control: Review creative materials for specification accuracy and support quality control before production moves forward.
- Documentation & Meetings: Document requirements in job management software, monitor workflow efficiency, and lead ongoing client meetings, production discussions, and status calls.
- Continuous Improvement: Track performance and quality results, recommend improvements, and help strengthen long-term client satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 5 to 7 years of project management experience, with increasing responsibility across complex, client-facing work.
- Industry Background: Prior exposure to print, publishing, premedia, packaging, catalog, or retail production environments is strongly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Soft Skills: Strong project coordination, organization, and time-management skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple tight deadlines effectively.
- Collaboration: Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and building trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present clearly and actively listen to client needs.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence learning new software; experience in Mac-based environments is preferred.
- Preferred Certifications: PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus, along with experience supporting major retail or national brand accounts.
