Operations Coordinator

Careful Security is a boutique cybersecurity and compliance firm. We help mid-market companies become audit-ready across SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS through hands-on delivery and our 90-day compliance readiness guarantee. We serve clients across B2B SaaS, FinTech, Healthcare, Financial Services, and Manufacturing, and we're building Dashr.ai, our security intelligence platform. This is our first dedicated operations hire.

Role Description

This is a remote, part-time 1099 contract role for an Operations Coordinator who keeps the business running on rhythm. You'll own recruiting logistics (sourcing, screening, scheduling, and tracking candidates), project-manage deliverables and timelines across the team, maintain our compliance and project calendar, and handle the admin that keeps operations tidy. You'll also execute marketing content — turning clear direction into LinkedIn posts and drafts using AI tools — capped at roughly a quarter of your time. Priority order when work competes: recruiting first, then deliverables and timelines, then admin, then content. You won't need a cybersecurity background; you'll need to be exceptional at running a system and following through consistently without being chased. This is an execution and coordination role with real ownership — not a strategy, sales, or people-management seat.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in operations, project coordination, recruiting coordination, or executive/business support
• Relentlessly organized and self-directed , you own work without being asked twice
• Automation-minded: you build repeatable processes instead of repeating manual work
• Comfortable using AI tools (such as ChatGPT or Claude) to work faster
• Proficient with productivity tools Microsoft 365/Teams, spreadsheets, a CRM, and project trackers
• Clear written communicator; documentation-first by instinct
• Thrives in a fast-moving, founder-led environment where priorities shift
• Experience in a cybersecurity, technology, or compliance environment is a plus
