Notes:

Not looking for a traditional animator role, seeking someone deeply fluent in the latest motion design platforms and comfortable leveraging AI tools to streamline and automate workflows where appropriate. Drawn to brands with a warm, human-centered aesthetic and a strong point of view. Interested in artful, unexpected, mission-driven companies and agencies, rather than corporate or traditional B2B brands.

Job Description:

  • We're looking for a Motion Designer to anchor the visual motion language of our enterprise video work. Across customer story films, product demos and how-tos, recurring interview series, event sizzles, and paid social cutdowns, video to show enterprise audiences. Today most of that work is built bespoke, piece by piece. The opportunity in this role is to design the system underneath — and then build the tooling that lets editors and partners ship more, faster, without the work drifting apart.

You'll work

  • closely with our live-action video lead, in-house editors, and external production and animation partners. The work spans long-form films and short, kinetic, social-first cutdowns, and it covers everything from quiet brand polish to high-volume templated output.

What you'll do

  • You'll design and build a motion design system for enterprise video that's flexible enough to span customer stories, product demos, recurring interview series, and paid social. That means defining the visual language for titles, lower thirds, supers, end cards, and UI motion, and then translating it into a library of reusable After Effects templates, presets, and project files that hold up across in-house editors and outside vendors.
  • A meaningful part of the work is making complex ideas legible on screen. You'll develop motion treatments for data, diagrams, and technical conceptsfinding ways to show, how an evaluation works, or how an enterprise architecture fits together, without flattening the substance. You'll partner with our video lead on shoots and edits, brief and art-direct external motion designers and animation studios, and review their work as the person responsible for keeping the system coherent.

  • You'll also help translate the system into the formats our audiences actually watch in: 1:1 and 9:16 cutdowns built for LinkedIn, 16:9 title cards and lower thirds for events and OLV, and lightweight templates that let editors produce volume without losing craft.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years designing motion for brand, product, or editorial, with a portfolio that includes at least one motion system you've built end to end — not only polished one-offs.
  • Deep fluency across major motion tools, including After Effects, with comfort handing off clean, well-organized project files to editors working in Premiere.
  • A systems mindset. You've designed templates, presets, and toolkits that other people use without your help, and you treat consistency, naming, and handoff as part of the craft.
  • Strong typographic and compositional instincts. You can carry a piece from quiet brand polish to high-volume templated work without losing taste.
  • Experience developing motion treatments for data, diagrams, or technical concepts in a way that respects the substance.
  • Comfort briefing, art-directing, and reviewing work from external motion contractors and animation studios.

Nice to have

Experience working in broadcast, B2B, SaaS, or enterprise tech.

Sound design literacy — you know what an SFX stem is and can speak to how audio and motion fit together.

Familiarity with paid-social formats (LinkedIn 1:1 and 9:16) and event or OLV title design.

A track record of partnering closely with in-house editors and live-action producers on customer films, product demos, or interview series.
