Mobile Game Developer (2D) | Remote

Position: Junior 2D Game Developer

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $20 - $110/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Create and refine 2D game assets and gameplay mechanics based on project requirements.
• Analyze and provide feedback on game design and player experience for AI training purposes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify development challenges and improve workflows.
• Document development processes, workflows, and problem-solving approaches in detail.
• Test, review, and evaluate 2D gameplay elements to ensure quality and alignment with objectives.
• Contribute insights on current trends and best practices in 2D game development.
• Communicate findings, feedback, and recommendations through clear written and verbal communication.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in 2D game development, including asset creation or gameplay mechanics.
• Proficiency with industry-standard 2D engines or frameworks such as Unity, Godot, or Cocos2d.
• Understanding of core game design principles and player experience concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to document workflows and provide constructive technical feedback.
• Self-motivated and organized with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving AI training and development needs.
