Position overview:

The Merchandising Manager will play a key role in driving the product strategy and execution across Art.com and AllPosters.com. This role combines analytical rigor, vendor management, and creative collaboration to ensure the right product is presented to the right customer at the right time in the right way. The Merchandising Manager will oversee product data integrity, category optimization, and vendor partnerships to support sales growth and operational excellence.


What You'll Do:

Strategy and Leadership:

  • Supports the overall merchandising strategy be ensuring seamless coordination between vendors, operations, and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with the Head of Site Merchandising & Analytics to align category performance and presentation strategy with company goals.
  • Assist in developing seasonal plans, new product launches, and site initiatives that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Serve as a key liaison between merchandising, creative, and operations to ensure flawless execution of assortment and visual direction.
  • Contribute to business reporting, providing actionable insights on product trends, category health, and vendor performance.


Vendor & Product Management:

  • Manage relationships with licensors, suppliers, and vendors, acting as the primary contact for daily communications and issue resolution.
  • Ensure accurate and timely product setup, maintenance, and updates within the system
  • Oversee image accuracy, product data integrity, and discontinuation processes to maintain a clean and optimized catalog.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure proper inventory flow, pricing alignment, and promotional readiness.
  • Assist in onboarding new partners, ensuring alignment with Art.com’s quality, brand, and operational standards.


Category Management & Site Execution:

  • Support the ongoing refinement of category structure and product organization to enhance discoverability and conversion.
  • Partner with the site merchandising team to optimize product placement, navigation, and content alignment.
  • Collaborate with Creative to ensure product imagery, descriptions, and promotional assets align with brand aesthetics and campaign direction.
  • Monitor performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing recommendations to the broader team.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as the central liaison between Site Merchandising, Digital Marketing, and Creative
  • Coordinate sampling processes, communication flow, and issue resolution between internal and external teams.
  • Assist with trend communication to internal partners, ensuring timely adoption of new themes and product opportunities.
  • Support the execution of new merchandising initiatives across both Art.com and AllPosters.com, ensuring deadlines and standards are met.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a focus on accuracy and detail.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and translate it into actionable strategies.


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business and 5+ years of experience in merchandising or product management within eCommerce.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and product lifecycle processes.


Physical Requirements:

  • This role requires continued sitting, standing, and occasional walking.
  • This role requires reliable vision, including the ability to distinguish between various color hues.
  • This role requires reliable hearing.
  • This role requires repeated movements with hands and wrists while utilizing a computer mouse and keyboard.
