Media Coordinator

Musicow US

Independent Contractor · Project-Based · Monthly Retainer · Los Angeles, CA

Your Role

Musicow US is seeking a detail-oriented and creatively driven Media Coordinator to support our content pipeline across photo and video. This role is focused on post-production — editing footage and photos captured by our production team, preparing assets for social media and digital platforms, and ensuring all content meets our brand standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong visual eye, hands-on editing experience from a photo/video studio or agency environment, and is equally comfortable working with both photo and video assets. Recent graduates with relevant studio or production experience are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

On-Site Photo & Video Production

  • Attend and capture photo and video content at artist shoots, events, behind-the-scenes moments, and promotional activations
  • Operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment independently for studio and on-location shoots
  • Plan and execute shot lists in coordination with the creative and marketing teams
  • Manage and organize all raw footage and photo files from each shoot for handoff to post-production

Video Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit raw video footage into polished, platform-ready content for social media, promotional use, and digital campaigns
  • Perform color correction, audio syncing, pacing, and quality review on all video deliverables
  • Create and export short-form video content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok-style clips) optimized for each platform's specs
  • Add motion graphics, lower thirds, subtitles, and title cards as needed using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously from rough cut to final delivery, meeting all deadlines

Photo Editing & Retouching

  • Cull, select, and edit photo assets captured during shoots, events, and artist activities
  • Perform retouching, color grading, and format optimization using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
  • Deliver final photo selects in appropriate resolutions and formats for social media, press, and web use
  • Ensure visual consistency across all photo deliverables in alignment with brand guidelines

Content Preparation & Platform Upload

  • Prepare and format edited content for upload and scheduling across social media channels (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
  • Resize, reformat, and adapt content to meet platform-specific technical requirements
  • Coordinate with the social media and marketing teams to align content delivery with campaign timelines
  • Support the review and approval workflow, incorporating feedback efficiently and accurately

Asset Management & Coordination

  • Organize and maintain the digital asset library — ensuring all raw and edited files are properly labeled, versioned, and archived
  • Track project status and deliverables across multiple concurrent requests using internal project management tools
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing, PR, A&R) to understand content needs and priorities
  • Stay current with platform trends, visual styles, and content formats relevant to the entertainment and music industry

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Visual Communications, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in a photo/video studio, production company, agency, or entertainment environment
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, and Photoshop
  • Skilled in editing both photo and video with a strong visual sensibility and attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of platform-specific content formats and technical specs (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
  • Genuine passion for music, entertainment, and visual storytelling
  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is required to effectively collaborate across US and Korea teams and stakeholders

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in a music label, entertainment agency, or K-pop / Korean entertainment context
  • Familiarity with Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
  • Basic motion design or graphic design skills (Canva, Figma, or similar)
