Position Overview

Powerus is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to help transition advanced autonomous systems from prototype and low-rate production into scalable manufacturing operations.


This role focuses on improving production efficiency, manufacturing processes, tooling, assembly workflows, operational scalability, and manufacturing readiness across a rapidly growing production environment.


The ideal candidate is practical, highly hands-on, and comfortable operating close to production teams and day-to-day operational challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes and assembly workflows
  • Support production scaling initiatives across multiple product lines
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and throughput
  • Assist with tooling, production layouts, process documentation, and operational planning
  • Work closely with engineering teams to support manufacturability improvements
  • Support implementation of quality standards and production controls
  • Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing issues and process bottlenecks
  • Support operational readiness, production launches, and manufacturing transition activities


Qualifications

  • Experience within manufacturing engineering, production engineering, or industrial engineering
  • Aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, electronics, or industrial manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong process improvement and problem-solving capability
  • Familiarity with production environments and scaling operations
  • Hands-on and practical mindset
  • Comfortable operating in rapidly evolving environments
  • Strong organizational and communication capability
