Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area for a Key Account Manager. The Key Account Manager will oversee the management and growth of established key client accounts, develop and implement business plans, and foster strong customer relationships. The position involves analyzing sales data, identifying new opportunities, and delivering excellent customer service to meet client needs and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow relationships with retailer buyers across assigned accounts. Serve as their trusted partner and go-to resource
  • Understand their business needs, and deliver innovative solutions that drive sales, margin, and brand growth
  • Communicate and collaborate with buyers to understand their strategy, assortment needs, and customer insights
  • Align our product offerings and marketing plans to support their goals
  • Work cross functionally with our team to ideate assortments, and identify how to grow existing assortments and seasonal line plans.
  •  Provide insights to cross functional team to help them design and develop product in keeping with the brand, retail price points and buyer expectations.
  • Ensure we are meeting buyer revenue and margin goals 
  • Analyze account performance and develop action plans that drive mutual growth
  • Work with our team cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution and exceptional service
  • Stay informed on retail trends, competitor activity, and shopper insights. Bring market intelligence to shape our strategy and offerings
  • Continually evaluate what brings value to our buyers 


Requirements


  • 3-5 years of account management experience 
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills with the ability to develop trust at all levels
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel as needed for buyer meetings
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A creative and flexible approach to work on multiple projects and clients at one time
  • Strong interpersonal skills: able to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers to problem-solve and move the process forward
  • Critical thinker and self starter that works with a sense of urgency to realize opportunities
  • Detail oriented with an ability to accurately exchange critical information both internally and externally
  • A major plus, experience working on projects for national retailers and familiarity with their related platforms
