Journeyman Technician

Job Overview

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Journeyman Technician located in Rawlins, WY. The Journeyman Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related mechanical systems. Duties include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and operational standards. The role also involves collaborating with other team members to provide excellent service and maintaining accurate records of all work performed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in diesel engine diagnostics, repair, and maintenance
• Experience with mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations within the transportation industry
• Capability to use diagnostic tools and related hand or power tools effectively
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while managing tasks independently
• Effective communication skills to work with team members and customers
• Prior experience or certifications in diesel mechanics are a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certifications are advantageous
