We are seeking a motivated IT Intern to assist with maintaining desktop hardware, software, operating systems, and general IT support. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in gaining hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment.
The IT Intern will support day-to-day IT responsibilities including hardware setup, user support, onboarding and offboarding employees, maintaining IT inventory and documentation, and assisting with server room organization and equipment management. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer service focused, and eager to learn.

We are seeking a motivated IT Intern to assist with maintaining desktop hardware, software, operating systems, and general IT support. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in gaining hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment.
The IT Intern will support day-to-day IT responsibilities including hardware setup, user support, onboarding and offboarding employees, maintaining IT inventory and documentation, and assisting with server room organization and equipment management. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer service focused, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with troubleshooting basic hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues.
- Support setup and configuration of desktop computers, laptops, monitors, and mobile devices.
- Help maintain inventory of installed software, hardware, and IT equipment.
- Assist with software installations, updates, and workstation configurations.
- Support onboarding of new hires by preparing laptops, user accounts, and IT equipment.
- Help automate onboarding and offboarding
- Help automate audit checklist for ISO 27001
- Assist with offboarding employees by collecting and organizing IT equipment and account access.
- Help organize and maintain server rooms.
- Assist with labeling, inventorying, and documenting IT hardware, cables, racks, and equipment locations.
- Support cable management
- Help maintain IT documentation, asset records, and internal procedures.
- Assist with monitoring cybersecurity training participation and phishing awareness activities.
- Support general IT ticket management and user support requests.
- Collaborate with team members and employees to support daily IT needs.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Hands-on experience supporting corporate IT systems and users.
- Exposure to hardware troubleshooting, onboarding processes, and IT documentation.
- Experience working in a professional engineering and sustainability-focused environment.

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and troubleshooting concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Windows environments.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to perform hands-on technical and organizational tasks, including equipment setup and server room organization.
- Experience with ticketing systems, networking concepts, or Microsoft administration tools is a plus but not required.
