T3 Sixty is looking for a Financial Controller. This is a remote position.
The Financial Controller is responsible for management of the financial operations of the organization, maintaining internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance and financial integrity.
Roles and Responsibilities
Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions, including budget process and forecasting.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Collaborate with leadership to set financial targets and monitor progress.
Provide timely and accurate financial reporting, including a weekly cash flow report, and disseminate the information, including budget data and variances.
Monitor business financial performance by measuring and analyzing results.
Monitor cash flow and maintain appropriate reserves for operating expenses, investments, and commissions.
Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
Prepare and execute month-end closing journal entries and review of entries, which may include accruals, amortizations, and depreciation.
Oversee and review various account reconciliations and variance analysis prepared by others.
Prepare commission payout reports.
Oversee expense management for T&E, along with company benefits, with an understanding of how they fit into the financials and overall budget.
Supervise preparation of reports, along with monthly schedules to calculate closing journal entries.
Optimize the company’s financial resources to support strategic initiatives.
Oversee regulatory reporting, frequently, including tax planning and compliance.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in financial management or accounting
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a financial controller
3-5 years of experience managing people
Proven track record of budget setting and managing rolling twelve financials.
Proven experience with 1) cash-based accounting, accrual-based accounting, and GAAP accounting, 2) inventory and COGS accounting, and 3) deferred revenues, prepaid revenues, and expenses
Experience with creating financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows) on a monthly basis
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business preferred
CPA preferred
Ability to read, create and interpret documents such as financial statements, variance reports, and tax reports
Ability to write/develop complex reports and correspondence
