Role Description The Financial Controller (Part-Time, Remote) will oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely accounting, reporting, and analysis. This role will manage the month-end and quarter-end close processes, prepare financial statements, and maintain the general ledger in accordance with applicable standards and company policies. The Financial Controller will develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, analyze financial performance, and provide insights to support strategic and operational decisions. Responsibilities include managing cash flow, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors, and maintaining internal controls and compliance procedures. The role will also partner with cross-functional leaders to support cost optimization, pricing decisions, and financial planning for packaging and distribution activities.
Qualifications
  • Strong accounting foundation, including experience with general ledger, Accounting principles, and month-end close processes.
  • Proficiency in Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to develop budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
  • Experience preparing and analyzing Financial Statements in accordance with GAAP or applicable standards.
  • Proven Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, as well as advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-financial stakeholders across the organization.
  • Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or packaging industries is a plus.
