Job Description

Summary: This role focuses on LPSD’s Field Data Acquisition Hardware Kit builds. The incumbent’s scope will include part procurement, Kit assembly per specification, maintaining inventory, and global shipment to Client assets. Also processing field kits returns for rebuilds.


3 Primary functions

- The role primarily includes Data Acquisition Hardware builds and Configurations. These involve:

- Assembling kits, troubleshooting, cleaning and refurbishing field returns, logging and documenting pertinent unit information for storage

- Validating built kits for required performance and ensuring operation meets specifications.

- Shipping units to sites globally for data collection.

- The Data logger requires learning how to build configuration files to be installed, and checked prior to shipment

- Maintaining Lab inventory of all new and returned kits with thorough process documentation


Must Have

- Hands-on electrical and tools experience (Wiring, soldering, multimeters usage, and drills)

- Able to translate electrical schematics to wiring harness and complete kit builds

- CAN J1939/CAN CCP/ Serial bus communication experience

- Excellent communication, organization, and ability to work well individually and on teams


Education/Experience:

- bachelor’s degree in engineering required.

- 5 years experience required.
