My client, a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its growing team in New York. This opportunity is open to engineers with 5+ years of experience through to Senior Engineer level candidates.
This role will focus primarily on commercial and corporate workplace projects, offering the opportunity to work on technically challenging building systems within a collaborative consulting environment.
The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of power, lighting, and electrical systems across a range of high-profile commercial interior, workplace, corporate, and base-building projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical, power distribution, and lighting systems for commercial and corporate facilities
Prepare construction documents, specifications, calculations, and technical reports
Support project coordination across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction administration activities
Coordinate with architects, owners, consultants, and contractors throughout project delivery
Support project scheduling, technical quality, and delivery milestones
Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient building system solutions
Desired Background
5+ years of experience within MEP/building engineering consulting
Strong experience working on commercial, workplace, or corporate interior projects
Knowledge of electrical distribution, lighting, controls, fire alarm, and building systems coordination
Familiarity with applicable building codes (NEC/NFPA) and industry standards
Strong communication and coordination skills
Experience with Revit and AutoCAD preferred
Preferred Qualifications
PE license or EIT certification preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience within multidisciplinary consulting environments
