Instructional Designer for a remote contract.

Description:

The Instructional Designer is responsible for consulting with identified stakeholders to conduct learning needs analysis for an identified target audience, complete low/high and detail level design documents to address knowledge and/or performance gaps, and to develop training materials to support learning that will foster accelerated change, drive improved performance and enable more effective decision-making.


Responsibilities:

  • Consulting with Project Managers, Design and Development teams, Learning Managers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Serves as the key connection point between the learning team and business partners during learning solution analysis, design, and development.
  • Analyzing learning needs to determine effective learning solutions that address knowledge and/or performance gaps in the target audience.
  • Authoring low/high level design, detailed design document), that leads to training interventions that enable clients to accelerate change and drive improved performance.
  • Supporting delivery of the pilot session and completing required revisions.
  • Designing and conducting the TTT session, if required.
  • Focusing on the development of multiple modules.
  • Serving as the Design Lead for the project when multiple IDs are involved and to lead and mentor them.
  • Suggesting best practices or improvements for consideration to enhance client's methodologies, tools, and templates.


Qualifications:

  • Worked within client industry or line of business Minimal knowledge of subject matter
  • Good knowledge of subject matter
  • Industry Accreditation required
  • 4+ years of design/development experience
  • Designed/developed modules for mid-senior management level employees
  • Undergraduate level degree or Instructional Design Certification equivalent
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Direct and indirect people management
  • Must be well versed with Storyline 360 and Articulate Rise
