Loar Group (NYSE: LOAR) is seeking a Controller to support the continued growth and financial discipline of one of its engineered products businesses in the southwestern United States. Loar Group specializes in acquiring and growing companies that design and manufacture highly engineered products for the global aerospace and defense market. To date, Loar has acquired 20 niche aerospace and defense manufacturing businesses across the U.S. and Europe.

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Controller plays a critical role in site-level financial leadership, oversight, and compliance. This position partners closely with site leadership, Operations, and Corporate Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and sound decision-making in a manufacturing environment. The Controller will oversee accounting operations, support planning and performance management, and help drive financial rigor as the business scales. The Controller will:


  • Lead site-level accounting operations, providing oversight, direction, and development for the accounting team.
  • Own the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Act as a financial partner to site leadership, translating financial results into insights that support operational and business decisions.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination with Corporate Finance and Corporate Accounting.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously strengthen the site’s internal control environment, including full SOX compliance.
  • Provide financial oversight of inventory and cost accounting, partnering with operations to ensure accuracy and control.
  • Support inventory planning and cycle count strategies, including variance analysis and remediation.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, controls, and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is required. 10+ years of progressive experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel skills. Experience with a full-scale ERP system.
