We’re looking for a proactive and creative individual to own the organic social channel operations and build engaged social communities for some of the world’s most iconic brands. This person will be someone with strong cultural fluency and a clear understanding of channel nuances across a variety of platforms such as TikTok, Meta, YouTube, X, Reddit, Discord and Twitch.
About the Role
The Community Manager will play a critical role as the eyes, ears and voice of a variety of brands on social. You should have an understanding of how to most effectively and authentically participate in a variety of cultural trends and subcommunities to foster deeper connections with target consumers and fans alike. This person should be an organized and proactive self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment with some autonomy. Publishing, reporting and writing are core to this role, so you should be able to switch gears with ease and entertain a number of different voices, adapting as you switch between brands.
Responsibilities:
Daily publishing of content and comments to brand owned social media channels
Active monitoring of social media activities and trends across key platforms to identify content opportunities for the agency’s roster of brands
Cultural participation and active engagement in the comment section
Keeping up to date with the latest social trends & tools, constantly bringing fresh ideas on how to use them
Supporting the creative and creator briefing development alongside Strategy Lead
Ongoing analysis, tracking and reporting performance against benchmarks/KPIs
Qualifications:
Chronically online and obsessed with internet culture
Clear understanding of community and platform nuances
Relentlessly curious about people, entertainment and pop-culture
Natural collaborator who can work cross-functionally
Ability to debate constructively, ask challenging questions and be solutions-oriented
Strong organizational and time management skills
Desire to experiment, play and produce new ways of doing things
Preferred Skills:
Passionate in social, creators and community building
2-3 years of experience (ideally agency) working on social channels or campaigns
Strong understanding of social platforms (TikTok, Meta, YouTube, X, Reddit, Discord and Twitch) and the active subcommunities that thrive within them
1-2 years of experience building audiences and engagement via social
Experience monitoring and reporting on social performance and social campaigns. A plus, using social tools such as Sprinklr, Dash, Netbase and Talkwalker.
Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
