I’m tremendously excited to be partnering with one of the top global law firms on their search to add a Business Development Manager to support their growing Energy sector!


In this position, you will work closely with senior leaders within the Energy practice and respective partners to implement business development initiatives aimed at developing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and successfully positioning the Firm amongst the best in this space. The preferred candidate will serve as the go-to liaison and will help develop and execute client and go-to-market strategies, while managing marketing initiatives across the Energy and Corporate practices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop professionally and work alongside a world-class team in a highly collaborative environment.


I’d love to engage with professionals who have previous Legal Business Development experience, ideally those with exposure to Energy and/or Corporate practices. Beyond that, this person must be enthusiastic about the opportunity, proactive in their approach, and confident working closely with senior stakeholders while leading by example for junior team members.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Support strategic initiatives across the Energy and Corporate practices, including thought leadership, client targeting programs, and cross-selling opportunities
  • Taking the lead and supporting on pitch preparation, RFP responses, and capability/marketing collateral, as well as assisting with the creation and maintenance of firm-wide materials and experience databases
  • Supporting the practice in ensuring that all pitches/proposals, new engagements, and closed deals are captured, tracked, and effectively leveraged for future opportunities
  • Working on the legal directories and awards process, including drafting submissions and liaising with partners, researchers, and PR teams
  • Conducting research on clients, competitors, and market trends to identify growth opportunities and better position the Firm within the Energy and Corporate landscape
