Business Analyst (Medicaid, MMIS Claims Systems) - REMOTE (EST HOURS)
Optomi, in partnership with a leading healthcare consulting organization, is seeking a Business Analyst to support Medicaid/MMIS claims systems modernization and enhancement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with strong Medicaid claims systems experience, SQL/data analysis skills, and the ability to bridge communication between business and technical teams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Support MMIS claims system implementations, enhancements, and modernization efforts
Gather and document business and functional requirements
Analyze large datasets and perform backend validation using SQL
Support claims/payment/reconciliation workflows
Investigate system issues and validate system behavior
Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and operations teams
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support testing/UAT activities
What We’re Looking For:
Experience supporting Medicaid/MMIS systems environments
Strong claims processing and payer systems knowledge
SQL and data analysis experience
Experience with claims adjudication, EDI transactions, and provider/payment workflows
Exposure to QNXT, Facets, or other healthcare claims platforms preferred
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
