Adore Me, a subsidiary of Victoria’s Secret & Co. (NYSE: VSCO) since being acquired in December 2022, is seeking an Associate Product Developer who will be responsible for strengthening product development from the earliest stages by securing sourcing parameters and anticipating technical and industrial constraints.
Responsibilities
- Supports early development stages to establish cost analysis, sourcing, MOQ, lead time and feasibility with the vendors and suppliers
- Negotiates fabric costs, MOQs, raw material production lead time at design stage with suppliers
- Negotiates final costs, MOQs, production lead time at design stage with vendors
- Supports in design engineering with designers and factories when cost or construction issues are flagged
- Ensures coordination with technical design on all product impacts related to fit (cost, fabric consumption, lead time, etc.)
- Supports in updating Bill of Materials with any change/update, ensuring details are accurately documented in TPs
- Manages workflow communication between design, production and factories at initial stage
- Supports vendors to ensure compliance with sourcing, quality, production, and sustainability standards.
- Manages digital seasonal raw materials/components library
- Map all Tier 2 suppliers and update the Tier 1 vendor mapping
- Support the development of ad hoc projects (accessories, packaging, GWP, …)
- Additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications for the Position
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Apparel Product Development, Textile Development, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in a related role, ideally in the lingerie or intimate apparel sector
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy and consistency across all tasks
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting tight deadlines
- In-depth understanding of lingerie product construction, including fabric properties, material selection, and manufacturing processes
- Interest in innovation, with a proactive approach to exploring new fabrics and techniques in product development
- Ability to interpret and communicate construction details and development notes clearly to vendors and design teams
- Familiarity with fabric and trim sourcing, including supplier selection and material development
- Proactive and solutions-driven, able to contribute meaningful ideas and collaborate effectively with factories, design and sourcing teams
- Exemplary interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
- Highly motivated, collaborative
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across global teams by adapting to diverse cultural norms, respecting time zone differences, and leveraging digital collaboration tools to maintain alignment and productivity
- Skilled in building trust and fostering inclusive communication styles that support clarity, empathy, and shared goals in international work environments
- Ability and willingness to work on-site at our office in Tribeca on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
