Associate Director, Project Management – Clinical Trials (Dermatology)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinical project management leader to join a global clinical research environment as an Associate Director within a client-embedded Functional Service Provider (FSP) team.

This is a highly visible role for a seasoned Project Management professional with extensive experience leading global dermatology studies, particularly within Atopic Dermatitis. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for sponsors and take overall accountability for the successful delivery of complex international clinical trials, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This role would suit an accomplished clinical operations professional who enjoys working in a strategic, client-facing environment while leading cross-functional teams across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the primary sponsor contact and overall project lead for global clinical studies

• Leading cross-functional project teams to ensure successful delivery of Phase II–IV clinical trials

• Managing study timelines, budgets, quality standards, risks, and project deliverables

• Driving proactive risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution throughout the study lifecycle

• Overseeing vendor and CRO relationships to ensure operational excellence and delivery against project objectives

• Managing project finances, scope changes, contract modifications, and resource allocation

• Establishing clear communication pathways between sponsors, project teams, and key stakeholders

• Ensuring compliance with ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, SOPs, and study-specific protocols

• Providing strategic leadership and guidance throughout study execution and delivery

Candidates should demonstrate:

• Extensive experience managing global clinical trials within dermatology indications

• Strong expertise in Atopic Dermatitis studies, with Lupus experience also considered highly relevant

• Proven success delivering multi-regional Phase II–IV clinical trials

• Significant CRO and vendor management experience

• Strong financial management and project governance expertise

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills

• The ability to influence and collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional teams
