Our client is a rapidly growing ~$35bn global hedge fund with a strong reputation for performance, institutional sophistication, and attracting top-tier talent across the industry. The firm operates in a fast-paced, high-performance environment that combines the infrastructure and resources of a large platform with the collaboration and visibility typically associated with a more entrepreneurial business.

They are looking to hire an Assistant Controller to join a lean, high-caliber fund accounting team. This is a broad role with exposure across fund accounting, reporting, and operational oversight within a complex investment environment. The position offers significant visibility internally and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership as the platform continues to scale.

The remit is intentionally broad and sits close to the investment activity. You’ll be involved in overseeing NAV production, reviewing fund-level reporting, supporting audits, and partnering with operations and other internal teams to ensure accuracy across accounting and financial data. There is also strong exposure to process improvement, controls, and broader initiatives tied to scaling infrastructure within a growing platform.

Who this suits

• CPA with 7–10 years of experience
• Background within Big 4 audit/advisory or hedge funds
• Strong understanding of fund accounting and financial reporting concepts
• Someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership
