Stephen VanHoose shared thisHuge shoutout to our amazing teams for getting another store ready at breakneck speed! Countless examples of hustle, teamwork, and dedication to make it happen. I’m just here for the poppers.

Stephen VanHoose shared thisSo many thoughts and emotions have been running through my mind over the past 2 days, but ultimately I just want to give a shoutout of respect and sincere appreciation to a true industry icon, Jim Ristow. Many may understand what he has meant to the AVB organization as a whole. Others may not realize the impact he has had on so many individual dealers through his friendship, mentorship, and partnership. I can’t fathom the amount of time and energy he has invested into so many dealers. I believe it was Rick that said it best when he compared him to a real world Yoda. It’s just incredibly rare to find real people who get it and care at the highest level. I don’t take it for granted and I think we as a society and even us as an organization can do a better job at communicating the impact that key people (both internal and external) have had on our businesses and our lives. One of our biggest regrets will always be not joining BrandSource sooner. While I rest easy knowing BrandSource will continue to benefit from his guidance, I also have tremendous confidence in the incoming Co-CEOs, John White and David Meekings. Both bring an expert level of experience and skill that will help guide the organization forward. We couldn’t be more excited for what the future of our partnership and website holds. My last request is that you tell someone how much they mean to you or your organization today. Don’t delay gratitude. Cheers,

Stephen VanHoose shared thisWe’re thrilled to share how our luxury home story is evolving. What began as the success of our Kitchens. Inspired division has now naturally extended into curated luxury furniture and mattresses—bringing the full home experience together under one roof. While we expected this to be a meaningful add-on for our Thermador, SKS, True, JA, Monogram, and Dacor customers, the real surprise has been the number of entirely new customers discovering our luxury ecosystem through these offerings. If you’re nearby Dublin, we’d truly value your thoughts on the space. Your feedback is appreciated as we plan to roll this concept into new stores and existing stores.Stephen VanHoose shared thisBig Sandy Superstore has deepened its push into the luxury sleep category with the grand reopening of its fully reimagined Luxury Mattress Studio inside its showroom here designed to deliver the high-end consumer an elevated shopping experience. https://lnkd.in/dPrV5BXz #FurnitureToday #BigSandySuperstoreTop 100 retailer redesign bets big on ultra-premium sleep, luxury home - Furniture TodayTop 100 retailer redesign bets big on ultra-premium sleep, luxury home - Furniture Today

Stephen VanHoose posted thisThanksgiving—a holiday tradition that my cynical mind naturally questions. We move through the motions year after year, but do we ever slow down long enough to give genuine thanks? Do we recognize the people who hustle all day to prepare a beautiful meal for everyone else to enjoy? Or do we focus more on the parts of the day that affect us—the schedule, the food, the mess, the football, the noise? I believe that gratitude is at the heart of real happiness. I believe that our journey is our reward, and today I want to pause and express my appreciation to the people who make that journey so meaningful. To my parents: Thank you for raising us with values, toughness, and love—even when I chose to learn most lessons the hard way. You sacrificed more than we ever realized, and you taught us right from wrong in ways that shaped our entire lives. It’s easy to get caught up in the small percentage of things we disagree on, but the truth is we’re aligned on the 97% that actually matters. I wouldn’t trade you for any other parents on this planet. To my wife (soon-to-be pilot): Way smarter than she looks, she’s the glue that holds our world together. She puts our family first—even when I tell her not to. Every success we celebrate as a family has her fingerprints on it. She’s the detailer to our masterpiece, and most importantly, she’s the handyman around the house. To our kids: I couldn’t be more proud of you. Our biggest job is to prepare you for real life—to help you stay true to what really matters. Stay kind. Stay curious. Bring light into a world that needs it. I know you’ll be great at whatever you choose to pursue… my only ask is that you enjoy eating healthier to make life easier on your mom. To my brothers: There aren’t two other shmucks I’d rather work with every day. But I’m grateful that we can get along as well as we do. To our coworkers: We can say it because we’ve also contributed firsthand to the opposite: culture matters. And what we’re building together is special and rare. I’m thankful for every talented individual who has joined us on this journey. We have so many people stepping up and dominating in their roles, and I am thankful to be a part of it. We couldn’t be more excited for what the future holds. This Thanksgiving, and hopefully I can do a better job of this every day, I’m choosing gratitude. Not the kind that comes from tradition or habit, but the kind that comes from truly pausing our animalistic minds and looking around at the other people who make life possible, meaningful, and worth the effort.

On this Memorial Day, Todd, Scott, Phyllis, and the entire Livingood's team stand in profound gratitude for the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. As a local, family-owned business for five decades, we are deeply mindful that our ability to serve our neighbors is entirely protected by those who stood on the front lines. Today, we honor their memory, support their families, and reflect on the true meaning of this day. We wish our entire professional network, our manufacturing partners, and our Lowcountry neighbors a reflective and safe Memorial Day observance. 🤝🇺🇸 #Livingoods #MemorialDay #CompanyValues #CommunityFirst #SavannahBusiness #Leadership #LegacyOfService #FlagAndCountry

Stephen VanHoose liked thisReally proud and excited to see the momentum around our new Clarksville location. Walking the store, I was incredibly impressed with the work from our setup and design team. The store looks absolutely amazing, and the attention to detail shows throughout the entire showroom. What stood out even more was seeing our new hires put their training into action with real customers. Huge credit to our leadership and training teams for the work they put in at the training center preparing this group. It’s one thing to teach sales processes in a classroom—it’s another to see those same processes carried confidently onto the sales floor from day one. A lot of people contributed to making this opening successful, and it’s exciting to see it all come together. Proud of this team and what they accomplished. https://lnkd.in/gRN9F5QkBig Sandy’s newest store is 1st in Louisville market - Furniture TodayBig Sandy’s newest store is 1st in Louisville market - Furniture Today

Stephen VanHoose liked thisAgree, Ben Chase. The outstanding work from our store leadership and our Director of L&D — you — provided the team with exceptional training at the training center prior to the soft opening. That process and grind of repeated role plays and hands-on training in a simulated environment prepared the team to confidently follow our selling processes and excel from day one. You all carried that though the soft opening with a heavy focus on floor leadership, support, and in the moment coaching, solidifying what you did in the training environment.Stephen VanHoose liked thisExecution Reveals What Preparation Cannot Coming out of our latest new store opening, one thing became very clear to me: Planning matters. Preparation matters. But execution is where the real learning happens. We saw a team step into a high-traffic environment with energy, pride, and excitement. Not because everything was perfect, but because they were gaining real, hands-on experience with real customers in real time. That matters. The culture was strong. The action level was high. The willingness to engage was there. And the team worked hard to use the processes they had trained on with every customer. That tells me something important. When teams are given proper training, clear expectations, and the opportunity to execute, people respond differently. They lean into the process. They gain confidence faster. They understand the “why” behind what we teach. Of course, there were learning moments. That is the value of real execution. Every customer interaction gave us more clarity about the market, the customer experience, and where the team can continue to grow. It gave us something better than assumptions. It gave us direction. We learned things that weekend from the actual shopper and the community. We learned things that only show up when preparation meets execution. That is the value of getting into the field. Because the goal is not just to open the doors. The goal is to create an experience customers can trust, build a team that believes in the process, and keep improving every time we get the opportunity to serve.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE deboer and Caeleb Dressel Launch Dressel Speed 1.0 [Gainesville, FL 3/23/2026] deboer, the performance-driven swimwear brand known for its relentless pursuit of speed, today announces the launch of the Dressel Speed 1.0, the first racing suit designed in collaboration with Olympic Champion Caeleb Dressel. At its core, the Speed 1.0 represents something rare in the sport: a product built not just for an athlete, but by one. Driven by Dressel’s firsthand experience at the highest level of competition, the suit was developed through a process rooted in feel, feedback, and performance under pressure. Every element reflects the perspective of an athlete who understands exactly what is required when fractions of a second define outcomes. “This suit is a product of everything I’ve learned in the water,” said Dressel. “Every detail matters at this level, and I wanted to create something that truly responds to how athletes move, fatigue, and perform under pressure.” Built from the ground up with Dressel’s input, the Speed 1.0 combines deboer’s advanced material engineering with insights only one of the fastest swimmers in history can provide. The Speed 1.0 introduces key performance innovations, including: - A slightly elevated waist design for enhanced core stability. - Strategic hamstring taping to support leg buoyancy during fatigue. - Precision paneling engineered for “flexible rigidity,” allowing the suit to snap back into optimal body position throughout a race. The Speed 1.0 is more than a single product. It marks the beginning of a broader vision. The launch represents the first chapter of the Dressel line, a multi-phase collection that will continue to roll out throughout 2026. Upcoming releases include the Dressel Mix 1.0, a second technical racing suit offering an alternate paneling structure, as well as a training collection, creating a complete system built around performance and purpose. “This isn’t just about one suit,” said [David Greenstein, Co-founder]. “This is about building a platform where athlete insight drives innovation. Caeleb’s involvement represents what happens when performance is led by the athlete, not adapted to them.” The Speed 1.0 will be available through deboer’s official channels, with updates on the rest of the collection in the coming weeks.

Luxury Products Group Reports 10% Growth Amid Turbulent Buying Group Year [Aurora, Ohio] — [1/14/26] — Luxury Products Group (LPG), a leading buying group dedicated to independent luxury bath, kitchen, lighting, and hardware showrooms, announced 10% year-over-year growth, outperforming the broader market during a year marked by significant consolidation and disruption across the buying group landscape. While much of the industry navigated mergers, shifting alliances, and economic uncertainty, LPG continued to deliver steady performance driven by strong member engagement, disciplined vendor partnerships, and a focused strategy centered on profitability and differentiation. “Given the amount of turbulence in the buying group world this past year, we’re very proud of this result,” said Jeff MacDowell, Executive Director of Luxury Products Group. “It reinforces that independent showrooms can grow—even in uncertain conditions—when they focus on execution, relationships, and selling with confidence.” LPG’s growth was supported by: Continued strength in luxury and design-led categories Increased focus on exclusive brands that protect margin and reduce online price competition Higher member participation in events, education, and best-practice sharing A disciplined approach to vendor partnerships and program accountability Despite market pressures from e-commerce, pricing transparency, and consolidation, LPG members who actively engaged with the group saw meaningful benefits, particularly in margin protection and customer experience. “Our mission is clear,” MacDowell added. “Together, we transform independent luxury showrooms into the most admired, most informed, and most profitable in North America. This year’s performance shows that mission is working.” Looking ahead, LPG remains focused on expanding its exclusive brand portfolio, strengthening vendor and member participation standards, and investing in education, events, and tools that help independent showrooms thrive in a changing market. We knew Kevin Kriebel was a star the first time we met him. Some time ago in Hamburg we filmed a case video with him about how he had integrated Touchtech’s Digital Showroom into his wholesale work. Kevin was quick to see the possibilities, and the results followed: stronger customer engagement, smoother ordering, and fewer cancellations. Great technology helps, and people like Kevin turn it into results.

Most store owners think of fixtures as shelves. They are not. Retail floor fixtures are one of the most powerful selling tools in your shop, yet they rarely get the strategic attention they deserve. Understanding what retail floor fixtures are, how they work, and which types suit your products can genuinely change how shoppers move through your store and what they buy.
