Our Life's Work
Harper Business
I contributed one of the personal letters in this book--the last one listed in the book, in fact.
This book captures the intimate exchanges between mothers
and daughters, fathers and sons, and caring teammates
and friends — all talking about what matters at work,
and in life.
Is a practical guide for work-weary souls trying to
get unstuck, as well as those who already do a lot
of what matters, and just want to do more.

Exposed are the raw truths we’ve all experienced.
The personal frailties and mistakes we’d like to hide.
And the proudest achievements we’d like to celebrate.Other authorsSee publication

The three day experience included a PureMatter "Thinkathon" sponsored by IBM, the Verse launch event, a surprise "Mystery Basket" cooking challenge at the International Culinary Center and a half-day "Design Thinking" Camp at Watson HQ – all of which yielded incredible content and conversation centered around reimagining the future of work.
Together, the event hashtag (#NewWayToWork) trended 1st worldwide. This was also the second highest performing IBM Signature Moment event ever, exceeding the recent IBM & Twitter announcement by 26% on impressions and 13% on mentions on Twitter.
My role is as one of the 30 futurist cohorts.

Master Class for the Rest of Us
Imagine asking 100 great disruptive heroes: How’d you do it?
Wow. It would be like sitting in on a master class on disruption with some of today’s most successful pioneers! CEOs, inventors and scientists, entrepreneurs and freedom fighters, firefighters and doctors, geeks and a couple of freaks — heroes, all. Disruptive because they are challenging convention wisdom or simply do not accept the status quo. Great because they are helping us change for the better.
Among the 100 Heroes…
• Yahoo CEO, Marissa Mayer
• Hillary Clinton’s head of innovation, Alec Ross
• World’s best female poker player, Annie Duke
• Founder of StumbleUpon, Garrett Camp
• Founder of Flickr, Caterina Fake
• Film producer, Avatar and Titanic, Jon Landau
• Psychologist de-radicalizing boys forced into the Taliban, Feriha Peracha
100 heroes like these identified the most crucial 25 habits we all need to practice if we are to survive and thrive the current era of continuous disruption.
