I still see many connections commenting “Interested” on posts that are clearly fake. If someone posts that they’re hiring for “multiple senior-level positions” and asks you to like this post or comment ‘interested’ with no specific roles, no company name, and no location, it’s most likely not real. Legitimate job opportunities have clear signs: ✅ A specific job title ✅ A known or well-described company ✅ A relevant location ✅ A professional, verifiable email ✅ A verified or credible LinkedIn profile Those vague posts are usually created to boost engagement, not to actually hire. Same with scam emails: vague, urgent, and designed to lure you in. Job seekers, be cautious and verify before engaging.

🗓️ A Small Request to Recruiters & Hiring Managers If you’re posting job openings on LinkedIn, please include two simple details: ✅ Application Deadline 💰 Budget / Salary Range Here’s why it matters — LinkedIn posts live forever. Even months (or years) later, people keep seeing, sharing, and applying to old job posts that are no longer active. I recently came across several posts from different companies that were shared again and again — even though those roles were filled months ago. It creates false hope and wastes valuable time for job seekers who are already putting in so much effort. Adding a small note at the end of your post like: “Applications open until [Date]. Position budget: [Range].” can make a world of difference. Legit recruiters are paid by the hiring company, not the job seeker. Recruiters asking candidates to pay for their services? That’s outdated and a major red flag. If a recruiter asks you to pay for their time or services, it’s time to walk away. Stay informed, protect yourself, and remember, real opportunities don’t come with a price tag for candidates.
